Fall Garden Tour

This week the temperatures are supposed to drop into the thirties by the end of the week. I believe that is a record low for our area this time of year. After getting dressed this morning I knew I wanted to go out and soak up the beauty of my garden...to enjoy the blooms before the cold weather creeps in. This yellow beauty is planted on the right front corner of the house and it gets direct sunlight. This one is planted in the back corner bed and receives part shade. The fragrance is so strong it's like sniffing a beautiful perfume. This one also gets full sun and gives off the most beautiful blooms, that is when the grasshoppers are not chomping away at the buds! I love how the branches bow down before the Sun in the morning. The Hydrangeas are about to bloom again for the third time. This one is another favorite of the grasshoppers ;-) The early morning visitors enjoying the showy blooms on the Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea.

Fall Around the House

After the Holiday's hubby and I got really busy organizing and packing. Shortly before Thanksgiving last year we began building our new home. We're finally settled in and right on time for the Harvest Season. I love the Fall. All the many colors, the trees changing their color, all the scents that warm the senses. The cabinet above was a TJMaxx find several years ago. It used to serve as my coffee station. The wicker wall planter was a Goodwill score for $1! I just added seasonal silk florals. I love to change this out with the season and hang on the inside of the garage door. The lamp was another great find from Burlington Coat Factory on clearance for $20. Happy Holidays

I decided to keep it simple on the decorations this year. By using the decorations I already had and only adding a few new pieces here and there I was able to achieve just that. There are so many projects we still have to finish, but guess what....it's not getting done before Christmas, and that's okay with me!! I've learned to not sweat the small stuff...to focus more on whats really important and that's spending time with your love ones making precious memories. So I'll wait to replace those outlet covers and I'll pull back out the paint cans to finish that molding AFTER the Holidays are over! Perfect spot for our early morning coffee... I pray everyone will be blessed with a beautiful and safe Holiday & New Year! Lisa
